Round three: Darchinyan lands several combinations to good effect, everything he throws is meant to hurt but he does nothing behind a jab. Pacheco looks more controlled and lands some neat counter-punches. Darchinyan is very annoyed at a head clash and shoves Pacheco who turns orthodox for a while. Round four: Pacheco jolts Darchinyan with a very good counter-jab. Darchinyan looks to be coming apart as he is breathing very heavily already and starting to get caught with a lot of shots from the champion. Round five: The early part of this round is definitely good for Pacheco as he lands many head shots on the challenger. Suddenly there is a head clash and Pacheco takes the worst of it, a cut appears over his brow but it does not seem to serious.
